Chin Up
My chin is jutting up in the air. My eyes are narrowed. I tap my chest with my fingers twice and glare.
You wanna piece of me? You wanna go? Because we can. Just bring it.
That’s what I feel like before I blog. I feel like I’m stepping into the ring. There’s a lot I want to write about. I want to blog against the machine. I want to take on things I read in the news or on other blogs and just express myself.
Uhmmm. So do it.
That’s what you’re saying, isn’t it? You’re rolling your eyes and wondering why I don’t just do it.

I don’t want to offend. I don’t want to insult. But I also know that sometimes my opinions and views are… polarizing? They’re MINE though. I don’t expect you to agree with them. You don’t have to like them. For the love of all things blogworthy, you don’t even have to read them.

Girl, it’s YOUR blog – go for it 😉 I’ve gone on my little political rants on my own blog. Why? Because it’s my blog 🙂 It’s not like I’m sending out mass emails, which I hate those things. (Luckily my attention has shifted from politics to Sophie – I’ve heard enough and am just ready to get the election over with, quite frankly). Probably half of my friends have a differing political view than I, but, that’s okay – it’s my right, their right…it is America after all. If you offend someone and they can’t objectively “hear” you and respect your opinion…what does that say about them, you know? Agree to disagree, that’s what I say. I never understood why people have to get nasty when they disagree with someone…which happened to me a few weeks ago with a relative over politics 😦 They got nasty, I didn’t, by the way 😉
At any rate, go for it. You’re you, I’m me, so and so is so and so…and that’s what makes the world go ’round…we’re all unique and have our own perspectives. The world would be pretty boring if we were all alike 🙂
I’m just impressed that you “want to”…..I don’t even want to….which is why I don’t even have a blog! At this stage in the game i just don’t want to think that hard or write that much 🙂
